Following the celebrated release of two singles, “Spin City” & “North”, which have both gained radio airplay across the country, Newcastle’s Hip-hop / Blues duo Eastside Grammar are soon to release their much-anticipated debut EP. The EP is titled “Head Cinema” and to celebrate its release the pair are hosting a launch show at the Cambo on Sunday the 20th of May.
Their live show has turned heads & graciously moved bodies around the city recently, bringing 6 other unique musicians on stage with them to make an 8-piece juggernaut. With support from some of the steel cities favourites in Talakai & Morgana Osaki as well as young vibe-bringers Soar & Polar Chills, this event is undoubtedly going to be one for the books.
SUPPORT ACTS:
Polar Chills
Up and coming Indy four-piece out of Newcastle, a mix of Indy/grunge/alternative. Just a couple of misfits making music and doing what they love.
Morgana Osaki
newcastle based musician, singer/songwriter who plays the harp and now conducts six other musicians to play her music live.
The genre could be described as a pop/electronic fusion with elements of a classical feel. Her music is about female empowerment and bringing diversity to the music community.
Soar
SOAR is a bunch of small-town lads making a cool racket of fresh indie rock that journeys from chilled out beats, to infectious edgy pop. With trumpet, bass, guitar, synth, drums and a relentless need to play live, they have earned a reputation as a dynamic band with a solid live show.
