Kinder are an electronic-music duo consisting of sisters Briony and Savannah from the regional town of Maitland, Australia. Their debut track “What You’re Like” is out now.

Growing up in a musical family, on an aural diet of dusty vinyl classics, it’s no surprise as soon as they were old enough, they started making the trip to Sydney to DJ regularly. The pair learned the ropes in the DJ booth of underground clubs like Chinese Laundry and World Bar before graduating to their own main stage headline slots.

This past year has been huge for Kinder opening for acts like NGHTMRE and RL Grime, playing a string of Aussie festival dates including Splendour in the Grass, Mountain Sounds, ThisThat, touring as part of Groovin’ The Moo and Alison Wonderland’s Scarehouse Project, with triple j announcing their Friday Mix as “2017’s mix of the year”.

Huge fans of Latin dance music, earlier this year the girls paired up with Brazilian producer Bhaskar writing and singing on his track “Hold On”, reaching over a million streams on Spotify and holding steady positions on Brazil’s iTunes Electronic Chart.

If you haven’t already heard it on the airwaves Kinder’s debut single “What You’re Like” takes deep inspiration from the Afrobeat dance jams of their childhood along-side some of their newer Latin influences. Both sisters are singing on all their material which may come as a surprise to their fanbase who know them predominantly as DJs. The single has no shortage of catchy melodies.
