⌳ Seahouses is a shoegaze/emo band hailing from Wollongong NSW. The project; originally started by Josh Fogarty as a way of coping with home sickness whilst travelling through Middlesbrough and Scotland, grew into a 5 piece wall of sound, writing songs that reflect on the nostalgic and melancholy memories brought on by sad situations and learning to live with them. Seahouses, named after a sign seen out a car window driving through Scotland have shared the stage with the likes of FRITZ, Egoism, Georgia June, Raised as Wolves, Twelve Point Buck and MINERS. The band draw influences from slowcore/shoegaze bands like Nothing, Duster, Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine. Keep your eyes peeled on these guys throughout 2020, with future releases and gripping live shows, Seahouses are a band not to be missed.
