Unabashedly dorks sweater curse came together quickly when members Chris, Rei and Monica started captivating Brisbane’s local scene with their charm and evocative, jangly melodies.

Writing songs that have been described as ‘slightly depressing but still groovy’ and ‘introspective, slightly sparkly indie-rock’ the band carved out a niche for themselves with a throwback feel.

With only two tracks released, the band have landed themselves on sold out line-ups with Camp Cope, Julia Jacklin, These New South Whales, Rolling Blackouts C.F., Jess Locke and Jen Cloher.

Sweater curse have also performed on the festival circuit securing spots on the likes of Blurst Of Times, Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, Against The Grain and Secret Garden.

After releasing their second single, ‘Don’t Call Me’ at the end of 2017, the band headed out on a national headline tour and was well-received by the likes of Richard Kingsmill, Dom Alessio, Dave Ruby-Howe and Gemma Pike, getting airtime on triple j, Unearthed and 4ZZZ and signed the band to New World Artists.

Heading back into the studio, sweater curse are now working on their debut EP with producer Fletcher Matthews (Dear Seattle, Clews, Columbus) with their next single highly anticipated.

You can catch them on tour this June around Australia in support of their new single 'Can't See You Anymore'.
